Io sono (which translates to “I am”) is a 2021 artwork by Italian artist Salvatore Garau. The work consists of an immaterial sculpture.

For Garau, the sculpture asserts its conformation in its own nothingness.

The vacuum is nothing more than a space full of energy, and even if we empty it and there is nothing left, according to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, that nothing has a weight... Therefore, it has energy that is condensed and transformed into particles, that is, into us.[1]

Io Sono, which was initial valued at €6,000-9,000, sold at auction for €15,000.[1][2]
