Iqra Hasan is an Indian politician. She is Samajwadi Party candidate from Kairana in the 2024 Indian general election.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Iqra was born in Kairana in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. She graduated in history from the Lady Shri Ram College, studied law at Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi and earned a post graduate in International Law from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies. Her father Munawwar Hasan was a two time Member of Parliament and a two time Member of Legislative Assembly. Her mother Tabassum Begum has also been a Member of Parliament twice. During the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, she campaigned for her brother Nahid Hasan who won an MLA seat.[1][3][4][5]
