Jonathan Antin (born August 16, 1967 in Los Angeles County, California[1]) is the owner of two Los Angeles hair salons; Jonathan Salon West Hollywood and Jonathan Salon Beverly Hills. The opening of the latter salon served as the basis for the first season of the reality television series Blow Out, which chronicled his life as an entrepreneur, hair stylist, and hair product creator. He has worked with celebrities such as Madonna, Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Rod Stewart, Alicia Silverstone, Margaret Cho, Tiger Woods, Ricky Martin, and Jackie Warner. He also appeared in American Express commercials.
He was student at the Fairfax Beauty Academy. He quickly landed a job at a trendy West Hollywood salon, and after many years of working his way up the ladder, Antin was able to purchase the salon. He charges $500 for a haircut.
Antin and his wife Sescie have a son, Asher, who was born in 2006. On April 12, 2007 Jonathan and his wife Sescie announced that they were expecting a second child.
He is the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, director Steve Antin and actor Neil Antin.
He was a judge in the 2004 Miss Teen USA Pageant.
In January 2004, he appeared in an episode of Bravo's makeover show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
In the first season of Work Out, Jonathan appeared in the final episode, giving a haircut and straight razor shave to Jackie Warner.
He currently has a product line called Jonathan available nationwide at Sephora.
He has appeared in the magazine Inked.
He has appeared in the magazine 'Sense.
The Beverly Hills location highlighted in the television series "Blow Out" no longer operates as Jonathan's salon. it operates under the mane "Tom Brophy"
