Kaliyar is a small village in the Idukki district of state Kerala in India .[1] The village is beautiful with a river as a center attraction and a pineapple estate. An area of Kaliyar which is near to the thommankuthu eco park is under forest department of kerala. The town nearby is Vannappuram. Thodupuzha city is 16km away. There are one higher secondary school St.Mary's Higher secondary School, Kaliyar have classes from pre-kg to plustwo. And one cbse school Jai rani public school, Kaliyar.
