Katban (Persian: كتبان, also Romanized as Katbān; also known as Kordovān)^[3] is a village in Chahriq Rural District of Kuhsar District of Salmas County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran, and serves as capital of the district.^[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 232 in 41 households.^[5] The following census in 2011 counted 258 people in 55 households.^[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 300 people in 82 households.^[2]
