InOne Technologies India Ltd., better known by their trade name Lava International or brand name Lava (stylized as LΛVΛ)[6] is an Indian-Chinese multinational technology company that manufactures smartphones, laptops, computer hardware, and other consumer electronics. It was founded in 2009 by Hari Om Rai, Shailendra Nath Rai, Sunil Raina, Sanjeev Agarwal, Sunil Bhalla and Vishal Sehgal.[2] It is headquartered in Shenzhen and Noida[7], and operates in other countries in South Asia, Middle East[8] and Africa[9] under the Lava brand name,[10] the domestic Indian market under the Xolo sub-brand for smartphones, as well as Southeast Asia, Africa and South Asia under the Benco sub-brand name for lower end smartphone and feature phone models.[11]

Structure

[edit]

InOne Technologies is headquartered respectively in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China and Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The company maintains 6 offices throughout India and 3 manufacturing and service facilities notably in Noida and Tirupati, with an R&D and operation center located in China. The manufacturing is currently done by its Indian facilities, due to the Indian government's production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for mobile manufacturers, introduced in 2020.[12]

InOne Technologies relies on a single-layer distribution model, that includes more than 1000 distributors across India directly managed and controlled by the company itself.[13][14] Lava is also a popular brand in several countries like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Middle East, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan and Nepal.[15]

InOne Technologies also manufactures smartphones for other brands as an ODM (original design manufacturer), including Nokia, Motorola[16], Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus[17], Transsion Group and HTC[18].
