Maan Abu Taleb (born 1981) is a Jordanian-British novelist and cultural editor.

Early life and education[edit]

Abu Taleb was born and raised in Amman, Jordan. He studied philosophy and critical theory at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University.

Career[edit]

In 2012, Abu Taleb was the founding editor of Ma3azef, a monthly online Arabic-language music magazine broadcast on the London-based NTS Radio. The topics feature classical and contemporary Arabic music and dance.[1]

As an author of fiction: his debut novel Kull al Ma'arik (2016) received critical acclaim. The English translation of the book, titled All the Battles (2017), was longlisted for the Banipal Prize.
