link to web feed explanation[edit]

This interface message would benefit greatly from a link explaining what the web feed of your watchlist is and how to use it. The best idea I think would be to link "the web feed of your watchlist" to Wikipedia:Syndication#Watchlist feed with token. I know on interface messages you sometimes have to use HTML links rather than wikilinks but I'm not sure what the exact criteria are for that. Anyway I'm proposing creating a custom interface message here with that link. If you know which kind of link it could be, it would help out. Jason Quinn (talk) 14:32, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Support. This message is displayed at the bottom of Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-watchlist and already has a wikilink so it clearly works. The link goes to Special:ResetTokens which displays MediaWiki:Resettokens-text. That message could also add a link to Wikipedia:Syndication#Watchlist feed with token.  Done I've gone ahead and made the change. I also reworded the entire message because it was poorly stated. Jason Quinn (talk) 21:25, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
