Career in Sleep Medicine[edit]

Krystle Minkoff aka Meritt North had a successful 20-year career in sleep medicine prior to her career in the entertainment industry, starting out as a polysomnographic technologist and rising through the ranks to head a multi-location American Academy of Sleep Medicine(AASM) Accredited Sleep & Neurology Center in Plano, Texas & Garland, Texas. Krystle was regarded as a sleep medicine expert and earned the coveted RPSGT credential in 2006, as only the 9,038th person worldwide since 1979 to hold the rare credential, from The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is a mid-level, internationally recognized credential representing the highest certification in the field for the health care professionals who clinically assess patients with sleep disorders)[25]   In addition, in 2012 she earned the RST credential from The American Board of Sleep Medicine. (Individuals who completed the required training and experience and successfully passed the sleep technology registry examination administered by the American Board of Sleep Medicine are referred to as a Registered Sleep Technologist or RST)[26][27]  At the height of her sleep medicine career, she was renowned for her expertise in sleep medicine and contributed to several of the most well-known national publications as an authority in the sleep medicine field. Meritt is an avid volunteer for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), (Founded in 1938, SPCA of Texas is the most comprehensive and longest-serving animal welfare agency in North Texas. Their mission is to provide every animal exceptional care and a loving home) and Meritt describes herself as “deeply committed to animal welfare and advocacy.”[28][29] In addition, Meritt also volunteers her marketing expertise pro bono to enhance Life Gift Organ Donation Center’s outreach and donor engagement efforts.[30][31]

Meritt is Co-Managing Partner of Word Power Productions, LLC along with Bill Brooks and President of Meritt North, LLC where she contributes as a professional voice artist, audiobook narrator, author, podcast producer, and multimedia specialist. She lives in DFW, Texas with her two cats, Oliver and Sophia.
