General Tan Sri Dato' Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan[1] (born 18 April 1968) is a Malaysian military officer who currently serves as the 30th Chief of Army since September 2023. Prior to his appointment, he previously served as the Deputy Chief of Army from April 2023 to September 2023.[2][3]

Early life[edit]

Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan was born on 18 April 1968 in Kampung Kuala Paya, Segamat, Johor.

Military career[edit]

He was received his secondary education at the Royal Military College in 1985, he began his service as a cadet officer on 19 August 1986, before being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Malay Regiment two years later. Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan promoted to Deputy Chief of Malaysian Army on 19 April 2023.[2] Later on 6 September 2023, he was promoted to Chief of Malaysian Army, succeeding Mohammad Ab Rahman who appointed as Chief of Defence Forces.[4][5]
