Early life[edit]

Nick Capstick-Dale was born on 28 August 1962. His father, Rodney Capstick-Dale, was a solicitor and art dealer who co-founded the Albemarle Gallery in London with Mark Glazebrook.[3] Capstick-Dale attended the preparatory schools Holmewood House School in Tunbridge Wells, Hawtreys Preparatory School in Wiltshire and Kingswood School in Bath. Career[edit]

He has been described as a traditionalist in contrast to highly-leveraged competitors in real estate.[4]

During the early 1990s, Capstick-Dale built the portfolio he currently maintains, predominantly using the proceeds of his portfolio/joint venture sales and profits from trading.[4] His developments include the former King's Cross premises of the Courtyard Theatre in 2001, Denecroft Estates in 2002,[5] the Lighthouse Building in King's Cross in 2005,[6] Metropolitan Wharf in Wapping in 2009,[7] King's Cross Bridge in 2012, Wapping Hydraulic Power Station in 2013 and Union House Properties Ltd in 2023.[8]
