Paul Dhinakaran (born September 4, 1962) is an Indian evangelical preacher, philanthropist, author, writer, singer, religious broadcaster, and charismatic minister. He is considered to be one of the most prominent Christian charismatic leaders from India. He is the co-founder and the chancellor of the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and Jesus calls ministries globally.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early life and education[edit]

Dhinakaran is the son of D. G. S. Dhinakaran, also an evangelist and among the most prominent Christian voices from India.[6][7][8][9]

He received his B.Sc degree at Loyola College and an MBA and a Ph.D degree in marketing from Madras University.[10][11][12][13]

Career[edit]

He is the co-founder, co-owner, and currently the chancellor of the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences.[1][14][15][4]

He also ministers on Rainbow TV, an evangelical television channel. In 2023, his organisation Jesus Calls had over 62 prayer towers in India, USA, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, UK, New Zealand, Canada, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and in different parts of the world. He has nearly 10 million viewership every month through TV and digital programs.[16][17][1]

Jesus Calls ministries[edit]

Jesus Calls is a global philanthropic and nonprofit Christian humanitarian ministry founded by Late Brother D.G.S. Dhinakaran and by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran.[18][8][19] Its mission to bring comfort, peace and healing through prayers offered 24/7 throughout the year, through channels such as physical prayer towers, prayer outreaches, public meetings, television programs, digital, electronic and social media.

Paul Dhinakaran began SEESHA, the social arm of Jesus Calls Ministry, which feeds and helps thousands of people in the impoverished sections of society. Children receive free tutorial education and medical camps. Dhinakaran also continued with his father's vision for Jesus Calls and has established 62 prayer towers in 12 countries.[20][21][22][5]
