Piet Cremers (born October 27, 1994), is a Dutch football coach, and assistant manager of Burnley.

Early life and education[edit]

Cremers was born on October 27, 1994, in Amstelveen, Netherlands.[1] In 2011, he decided to become a full-time football coach. He completed an accelerated vocational education at CIOS, Centraal Instituut Opleiding Sportleiders (Central Institute for Sports Education) in Arnhem. During his time at Manchester City, he obtained his UEFA A Coaching License.[2]

Career[edit]

In 2013, Cremers started as a coach, as a video analyst at NEC.[3][4] In January 2014, he joined the technical staff of Excelsior Rotterdam. At the end of the 2014/2015 season, Cremers moved to Brentford in the Championship. In June 2015, he became a First Team Analyst for the West London team.[5] In July 2016, Cremers returned to the Netherlands and signed a contract with NAC Breda as Head of Analysis and Assistant Coach.[5][6] He worked with head coach Stijn Vreven, and the club was promoted to the Eredivisie. In January 2018, Cremers joined Manchester City as a U23 Performance Analyst. After a short stint with the Development Squad, Cremers was promoted to first-team duties in August 2018 and he became the Club's Head of Performance Analysis & Insights, where he worked with coach Pep Guardiola for four years. In the summer of 2022, he left the club, after the team won several domestic titles. In the summer of 2023, Cremers joined Burnley to become assistant manager to Vincent Kompany.[7]
