This template is intended to be used to standardise the format of selected content (articles, biographies, cases and statutes) on the Law Portal.

The template should be used in the following form:

The title of the selected content and a summary are required. If a suitable image is available, the file name should be added as the image parameter and a caption (which will display on mouseover) and alt text should also be included.

This template also automatically categorises the content into either Category:Law Portal selected articles, Category:Law Portal selected biographies, Category:Law Portal selected cases or Category:Law Portal selected statutes. These categories are used by the Law Portal to track how many pieces of selected content there are of each type.
