The Hobart class destroyer is a class of three air warfare destroyers built for service with the Royal Australian Navy. The Hobart class design is based the Spanish F100 design, and incorporates the Aegis combat system and other sophisticated weapons and electronic systems. The lead ship, Hobart was commissioned in September 2017. This was followed by Brisbane in October 2018. The final ship is expected to be commissioned in late 2019.
