• 13 February 2013: Kelud in Indonesia erupts sending ash covering an area 500 kilometres in diameter.
• 4 June 2011: An eruption occurs on Puyehue, Chile.
• 21 May 2011: Grímsvötn, in Iceland, erupts, disrupting European air travel.
• 19 February 2011: Mount Etna in Italy erupts for the second time this year. The event is of Stromobolian-type activity.
• 17 February 2011: Earthquake activity occurs at Mount St. Helens, United States. The earthquake swarms occurred in the same area as those preceding St. Helen's famous 1980 eruption. No actions have yet taken place.

• 26 January 2011: An eruption has occurred at Kirishima, Japan, causing some residents of the area to evacuate.
• 26 December 2010: Eruptions at Kizimen have decreased following the 13 December peak.
• 13 December 2010: Eruption of Kizimen volcano, with shallow seismic activity recorded.
• 10 November 2010: Activity at Merapi remains at threat level 4, however, there are talks of reopening the main Adisucipto International Airport assuming ashfall decreases.
• 31 October 2010: Minor eruptions and steam emissions continue at Merapi; the volcano has already claimed 30 lives as of 27 October 2010.
• 7 October 2010: Gas plumes originating from Nevado del Huila are rising 2.5 kilometres (2 mi) above the summit. Lava dome growth and volcanic collapse have also been noted.
• 24 September 2010: An earthquake swarm at Piton de la Fournaise volcano occurred, involving dozens of earthquakes associated with volcanic inflation and magma movement. Access trails to the summit for the general public have been closed.
• 7 September 2010: An explosive eruption at Mount Sinabung, Indonesia produced an eruption column 5,000 m (16,404 ft) high.
• 29 August 2010: Mount Sinabung on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, produces its first volcanic eruption since 1600, causing more than 18,000 residents to flee. (This news was featured on the Main Page)
• 26 August 2010: Explosive eruptions from Galeras Volcano, Colombia, deposit volcanic ash up to 12 km (7 mi) away, and 8000 people have been evacuated from the surrounding area.
• 10 August 2010: A magnitude 7.5 earthquake hits Vanuatu near Kuwae.
• 18 July 2010: Eruptions continue at the summit and east rift zone at Kilauea volcano, Hawaii. A lava pond has formed at Halemaʻumaʻu.
• 8 June 2010: Taal Volcano in the Philippines is raised to a level 2 threat status, based on earthquake activity it is experiencing magmatic intrusion that may lead to an eruption event.
• 5 June 2010: Last remnants of the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull end. Volcanic tremors and earthquake activity have stabilized to pre-event conditions.
• 15 April 2010: Volcanic ash from the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull disrupts air travel in northern and western Europe.
• 21 March 2010: An Icelandic volcano near Eyjafjallajökull began to erupt during the night, sending lava fountains several hundred feet high.
• 24 December 2009: Activity continues to build up at Mayon Volcano, Philippines, following evacuation and the raising of the threat level to 4 out of 5.
• 20 December 2009: Gas released from Ambrym Volcano, Vanuatu, gives rise to vog in the region.
• Saturday 19th December 2009: A swarm of over 30 earthquakes occurs at Mount Etna, Italy, the largest of which is magnitude 4.6.
• 17 December 2009: Explosive eruption at Bezymianny Volcano, Kamchatka, Russia.
