St. Patrick's Day[edit]

This holiday has been moved in 2008. It is usually the 17th of March, but was moved by the Catholic Church to the 15th of March to keep it from falling during Holy Week. Many secular places are still going ahead with the 17th date for their parades, though some are making the change. I have moved the date listed on this page to the 15th.

Since secular dates are remaining the same, we may want to list both dates, so I would be open to listing this holiday on both the 17th and 15th if anyone objects to the current listing. I have also made a note at the bottom of the list of holidays in march. 147.155.182.23 (talk) 05:24, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Feast of the Annunciation has also been changed from its traditional date of March 25 to March 31 to avoid conflict with Easter Week. I have made this change in the article. Runner5k (talk) 21:26, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

March 26 St. Gregory's Day (Malta)[edit]

This date does not seem to be correct, [1] the only one I could find is March 19 - Feast of Saint Joseph (San Ġużepp). Anyone who can confirm this so I can adapt it? Galoubet (talk) 16:07, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Financial crisis[edit]

March 17-21,2008, marked the beginning of the US financial crisis. Borrowings by financial institutions from the Federal Reserve rose 185 times higher than the previous week (seehttp://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/series/TOTBORR). Unfortunately, we don't have a article on exactly that indicator.DOR (HK) (talk) 04:20, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
