Presence is a 2024 American psychological thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by David Koepp. It stars Lucy Liu, Julia Fox, and Chris Sullivan.

Production[edit]
The film, written by David Koepp and directed by Steven Soderbergh, was not announced publicly until December 2023 when it was revealed to be part of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.[4]
Filming[edit]
Principal photography took place in the summer of 2023 with an interim SAG-AFTRA agreement from the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[5] The film is shot entirely in the first-person perspective.[6]
Release[edit]
The film premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2024.[7] Shortly after, Neon acquired distribution rights to the film for $5 million.[8]
Reception[edit]
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 91% of 23 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.5/10.[9] Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 77 out of 100, based on 14 critics, indicating "generally favourable" reviews.[10]
