Riverdale Park North–UMD is a light rail station that is currently under construction. It will be part of the Purple Line in Maryland. The station will be located at the intersection of River Road and Haig Drive on the eastern campus of the University of Maryland in the M Square Research Park.

History[edit]

The Purple Line system is under construction as of 2023 and is scheduled to open in 2027.^[1]

Station layout[edit]

The station consists of two side platforms just south of River Road and west of Haig Drive.^[2]

P Platform level	Side platform, doors will open on the right
	Westbound	← Purple Line toward Bethesda (College Park Metro–UMD)
	Eastbound	→ Purple Line toward New Carrollton (Riverdale Park–Kenilworth) →
	Side platform, doors will open on the right
