[edit] Radio career

Bennington's radio career started on The Ron and Ron Show with co-host Ron Diaz in Florida, where Bennington worked as a stand-up comedian and owned a comedy club called Ron Bennington's Comedy Scene in Clearwater, Florida. In 1997, the show disbanded and Bennington teamed up with Fez Whatley to create The Ron and Fez Show. The show was broadcast from New York on 102.7 FM WNEW-FM from 2000-2003 until the station ended the talk format, and eventually moved to 106.7 FM WJFK-FM near Washington D.C. where it aired live from 2003-2005, a station that had been simulcasting the WNEW-based show since 2000.[1] Bennington and Whatley moved back to New York and debuted on XM Satellite Radio on September 12, 2005.[2]

Bennington hosts 3 XM Radio shows, The Ron and Fez Show, Unmasked, and Ron Bennington Interviews. Unmasked is an interview-based show in which Bennington talks with leading comedians of the past and present. Bennington attempts to 'unmask' his interview subjects, and reveal their true personality and/or inspirations for comedic styling. Unmasked is broadcast on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, airing Saturdays at 8 pm on XM Comedy - XM 150 and Sundays at 2 pm on XM 202 The Virus.
