Saeed Reza Khoshshans (Persian: سعیدرضا خوش‌شانس; born 5 December 1986) is an Iranian playwright, dramatist, dramaturge and theatre theorist who also is known as an academic scholar in theatre and performing arts studies.[1]

Works[edit]

Khoshshans as a theater theorist concerns about postmodern and also experimental avant-garde western theater. He has Translated American avant-garde playwright and the founder of the Ontological-Hysteric Theater, Richard Foreman masterpieces in Persian. He had won best playwright's award from 40th Fajr International Theater Festival[2][3] and His play Requiem for Mademoiselle Carmot was appreciated by Asian Playwrights Festival (APF) in South Korea.[4]

Life[edit]

He came into the scene as a young writer by his early works such as short stories and essays on western dramatic literature, and philosophy. after quitting engineering, he studied at the Tehran University of Art and received B.A in Dramatic Literature and MFA in Theater Directing. He studied aesthetics and Philosophy of Art in PhD.[5]
