Stefan Bringezu

Stefan Bringezu is a German environmental scientist. He has conducted pioneering research in the field of material flow analysis[1][2] and derived policy-relevant indicators of resource use,[3] which contributed to statistical standards in the EU,[4] OECD,[5] and UNEP[6] and environmental footprinting across scales.[7][8] He had been selected as inaugural member of the International Panel for Sustainable Resource Management (now: International Resource Panel [9]) and lead-coordinated in three of their reports.[10][11][12] He was scientific director of the Center for Environmental Systems Research at Kassel University, Germany.[13]
