Episode 1.01 is simply called "Series One Episode One" !

Other names for this episode seem to vary by regeon and include -

The British Are Here (PL) The Fallen Madona (IMDB) To Forge Madona (Wiki) The British are Coming (TV.COM)

Re: Episode 1.01[edit]

The official title for this episode, I would like to believe is "The Fallen Madonna". This is what is listed on British TV Resources, IMDb (as already shown) and the R1 DVD release. The R1 DVD release is from BBC Worldwide, who would have access to the original episode names. However, their episode title of the Series 2 Christmas Special differs from most other sources - though the common title ("The Gateau from the Château") would seem an obvious title given the plot, as opposed to the R1 title of "Klinkerhoffen In Control".

"The British Are Coming" is the title of the pilot, though this title was probably added when the pilot was aired for a second time before the other episodes of series 1; the episode specifically mentions the British. "Series One, Episode One" can not be the official title of this episode (as all the other episodes of the series are named), but is the title mentioned on the R2 DVD release.

To save confusion, I will leave the title of the episode as is, but will add a note reflecting this situation.

Episode summaries[edit]

The summaries for all episodes (across all seasons) were very long, many at over a thousand words, which is more suited to the synopsis pages of IMDB. I have therefore replaced these with shorter summaries, in line with all other episode summaries on Wikipedia. Niki2006 (talk) 23:37, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
