The result of the proposal was No Merge (lack of consensus).

I propose we merge this page into Trois Nouvelles Etudes. We have three stubs when we could have an article of some length and more value. If they sections happen to get large enough to warrant one per Etude then it would make sense then, but its not there yet. --Sketchee (talk) 06:10, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree wholeheartedly. There is no reason for three separate articles when they are each so minimal. Hult041956 (talk) 23:29, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge. But if you're going to use the French name, go all the way (Études). ALTON .ıl 01:17, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree. There should be an atricle for every piece as now. The article will become longer over time as every article. Other articles are also short like Étude Op. 10, No. 9 (Chopin). Single ahort articles grow faster than one bigger article. --91.12.231.12 (talk) 15:59, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree – I'm inclined to agree - some other Chopin études are even smaller than these articles and time will only expand this article. Centyreplycontribs – 09:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge (again)[edit]

None of these Etudes is particularly worthy of their composer, though they are nice pieces and good studies in technique. I cannot forsee any but trivial expansion of these individual articles. The other Etudes opp 10/25 are of a completely different order: they are each and individually among the most important works ever to be written for the piano. I see no reason not to merge all the others too for now, though, if they are also tiny articles. They could be split later. Jubilee♫clipman 18:41, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
