Edit request[edit]

{{edit protected}} Please change {{R_from_alternative_language}} to {{R from diacritics}} {{R from alternative language|gd}}. Gorobay (talk) 02:39, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why? (Please explain and re-request, thx)  Chzz  ►  04:53, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sigh. Because:

  • this is a redirect containing a diacritic (the grave accent on the initial u), and the target (Brownie (folklore)), does not contain any diacritics;
  • this is a redirect from a term (ùruisg) in one language (Scottish Gaelic, with ISO 639 code "gd") to another (brownie (folklore)) in another (English); and
  • the templates {{R from diacritics}} and {{R from alternative language}} are meant to be used in such situations.
