Split[edit]

  • Split, This section alone qualifies to have its own article and it meets the requirements stated at WP:Song, half (or possibly more) of the main article is occupied, composed and or about the Aaliyah version. Neo the Twin (talk) 03:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    Can somebody explain to me why after a year this discussion hasn't been closed and there's still a split template hanging in the article. shelovesneo (talk) 01:03, 27 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    @Shelovesneo: Split and merge discussions often wait around for a very long time with little participation — probably because implementing them is generally more complicated than other sorts of discussions. See Category:Articles to be merged and Category:Articles to be split. There isn't a the same sort of timeline, or much of a centralized listing as deletion discussions or requested moves. You could remove the template and just split this. Of course, it's possible somebody will later have objections and want to merge it back. Or Wikipedia:Proposed article splits seems to be a place you can seek more participants. I haven't ever requested a split. SilverLocust 💬 17:17, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    SilverLocust, how can I adequately perform the split? I'll be bold and do it. dxneo (talk) 07:58, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    @Dxneo: There are some instructions at WP:PROPERSPLIT. SilverLocust 💬 08:28, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
