Misc[edit]

From the summary of the final montage: "Mayor Thomas Carcetti becomes governor, but has compromised the promises he made to aid the City of Baltimore when he ran for mayor." I have no doubt he would do just that, but I don't see it in the vignette. What did I miss? 18.100.8.65 (talk) 04:44, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary is way too long.[edit]

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long!

--Balaenoptera musculus (talk) 16:24, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not. It's the series finale for crying out loud. There's a lot of plot in there and this editor believes it's the appropriate length. Temerarius (talk) 18:49, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

–30– (The Wire)-30- (The Wire) – Cleanup of -30- links and references to use hyphen rather than en-dash. —JLundell talk  12:15, 23 August 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 14:23, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - the episode title is not a style choice that can easily be replaced, it has a meaning and is a reference to -30- (also, [1], [2], [3]). --Gonnym (talk) 16:00, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: when I saw that this had been relisted due to a total lack of input, I notified WT:MOS, the regulars of which are the only people I recall seeing have knowledge about the two kinds of line. (I assume my notice was neutral because I am neutral and don't care which line is used here.) -sche (talk) 16:05, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Oppose per WP:TITLESPECIALCHARACTERS. per MOS:DASH: In article titles, do not use a hyphen (-) as a substitute for an en dash. (I believe) it is easy to type dashes with standard keyboard layout, hyphen is simply simpler. — bieχχ (talk) 21:16, 31 August 2018 (UTC) — bieχχ (talk) 21:50, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But it's not a substitute for an en dash. --Gonnym (talk) 17:47, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - Came her via WT:MOS. Reliable sources seem consistent in using hyphens, and there are no grammar issues since it's a technical convention in journalism. Tdslk (talk) 07:11, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

The scene where Marlo returns to the corner and his arm is cut has been omitted from the plot summary—a glaring omission! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.69.129.80 (talk) 03:54, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
