PLEASE UPDATE THIS[edit]

While MYNIC administers the .my top level domain, it only registers third level domain names. As such, MYNIC doesn't register .my domains names such as:

   * www.example.com.my
   * example.example2.com.my
   * example.my

MYNIC now already register for "example.my" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.53.185.234 (talk) 05:24, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

second-level domains now possible[edit]

Yes it appears example.my domains are now registerable, but I don't know how to reword what is there. Logan1337 (talk) 20:11, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ok I made a change. Hope this is sufficient--feel free to reword it more appropriately, I tried to keep as much of the previous information there as possible. Logan1337 (talk) 20:18, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • While I appreciate your attempts to help. I've modified the section [1] as it was unfortunately rather poorly written and just wrong. Jaring and MIMOS weren't the only 2LD, there were others like SIRIM, UTM, UKM; these exceptions existed mostly because 2LD registrations were accepted in the early days (I don't know the terms & requirements etc). More importantly saying 'But this no longer appears to be the case' is fairly silly. MYNIC policies are public and the decision to open 2LD again was made after a public discussion and consultation process. It's not some mysterious thing that no one knows what's going on. In other words, it's not something of 'no longer appears to be the case' but it is indeed no longer true. Using [WP:RS|sources]] does of course help. At the very least, something like "This is no longer the case" or "Second level domain registrations are now accepted" would have been better. Nil Einne (talk) 20:06, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Responsibilities" and "Chief Executive Officer" sections[edit]

Those sections has nothing to do with the cctld .my. I suggest moving them to related pages, or remove if that is not possible. Hocu (talk) 21:30, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
