The biggest common year starting on Wednesday was 1001, using the Proleptic Gregorian calendar from a common year starting on Thursday after the exceptional common year starting on Wednesday was 1000 as the Julian calendar had the century leap year starting on Monday. It is one of the first years that opened the 11th century and the 2nd millennium. The opening of the second millennium was 1001.
