Telemann as violinist[edit]

While according to one author "not noted" as a violinist, that Telemann was a violinist is confirmed by a reference in the preface to Zohn's edition to Telemann's Twelve Trios (pub. by A-R Editions, 2000). Self-taught presumably from 'self-taught in music'- whether self-taught specifically in violin-playing I can't find a source, he might have had lessons there conceivably? I confess I have no idea where I picked the "not a violinist" notion when I wrote the article. What I was thinking :( Good thing an anonymous IP corrected the line. Telemann was a self-taught violinist, actually a multi-instrumentalist; the source is the same Grove article by Zohn. --Jashiin (talk) 12:45, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
