Sports

Lots of people have had the number 15 on their uniform, vote to delete just about everything but the tennis fact. Cs302b (talk) 20:09, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Games

There are a significant number of games that have an emphasis on the number 15. One of these is CRIBBAGE, which counts out sets of cards totalling 15 as part of scoring.-- self-ref (nagasiva yronwode) (talk) 18:25, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

An editor (acting as IP and as @Blaxiom:) has been adding:

It's not obvious, even from Alabama Crimson Tide football, that that is a record, and even if it were, that's not the sort of record we record here. Neither that nor Manchester United F.C.. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 16:19, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

It seems as though an editor: Arthur Rubin has taken some sort of strange issue with the number of National Titles the Alabama Crimson Tide have been awarded. He refuses to set his personal vendetta aside to recognize that 15 is a significant number of championships for a single team to acquire. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blaxiom (talkcontribs) 16:32, July 24, 2013‎

As I noted in edit summaries, the relevant guideline in WP:WikiProject Numbers#Numbers in sports. I don't see how that allows "number of national championships". It also violates WP:NOTNEWS, and would require frequent monitoring, as it should be removed immediately if another school gets 16. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 17:42, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Player's jersey numbers change frequently, but that's never stopped anyone from attributing them on these pages. The frequency of change is inconsequential, only the truth is relevant. - Blaxiom (talk) 18:27, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Only retired jersey numbers are supposed to be listed on these pages. If there are any others, please remove them. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 19:31, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
The number of Championships a team has is far more noteworthy than a retired jersey number, don't you think? - Blaxiom (talk) 09:03, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
I would say, "no". Others may differ. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 15:20, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
So because you say "no," you believe you have the authority to take it off? - Blaxiom (talk) 16:03, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, the fact that no one else has come out in favor of your point of view might be considered a clue. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 05:43, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Retired jersey numbers

Per WP:PRESERVE, here is the list of retired #15 jersey numbers and racecars that were mentioned in the article:
