Date[edit]

Why was the convention held in 1835, altough the election took place in late 1836? That's more than one and an half year later. --Jerchel (talk) 15:35, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Date Needs Changed[edit]

The convention was held in May 1836 not May 1835. This needs changed. All other dates within the article also need verified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.190.69.153 (talk) 14:05, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Convention held in 1835, not 1836[edit]

@Muboshgu: & @Drdpw:, you may want to keep an eye on editor Batong 1930. He's trying to have this page & links from it, changed to 1836 Democratic National Convention. The party held their convention in the spring of 1835, even though the next prez election was well over a full year away. I suspect that's what's confusing Batong.
