Birthdays[edit]

Aren't these the silliest thing at wikipedia? Here is a special archive for them. --P64 (talk) 02:00, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Talk: 1845 to 1868 in baseball/Births

Before 1845[edit]

I have deleted a link to 1781 to 1800 in sports, which is now a redirect to 1781 in sports. Probably those two pages were and are the rump of Pre-1850 in sports, ancestor to this article, which has now also spawned individual Years in Sports back to 1776.

From 1776 to 1844, here are the Years in Sports with "Baseball" listings.

In the spirit of the former link to pre-1850 (if I am correct), this article would "See also" all of these pages. I don't recommend that, and I wouldn't list birthdays of early baseball people on those pages or here. --P64 (talk) 01:12, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MLB Historian revises baseball's history[edit]

Seems to me that the beginning of this page need a rewrite according to this recent article. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/sports/baseball/13thorn.html?_r=2&scp=1&sq=John%20Thorn&st=cse Ckruschke (talk) 15:30, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Ckruschke[reply]
