It was an election for Rigsrådets Folketing[edit]
This was not an election to the Folketing. It was an election to "Rigsrådets Folketing" which was another parliament. The Kingdom of Denmark was then in personal union with the Duchy of Schleswig, and in November 1863 the so-called November Constitution was passed as a joint constitution for Denmark and Schleswig. The Constitution came into force on 1 January 1864 and caused the Second Schleswig War. This election was the second and last election for the would-be joint parliament of Denmark and Schleswig under the November Constitution.
