Article needs relevant descriptions of characters[edit]

The series is on Acorn TV and I recently watched several episodes. I was not expecting to see Beatrice "Bear" Hamelin in a heated (but unfortunately perverse) hookup with Laura (season 1); nor see her receiving cunnilingus from former girlfriend Mary Louise Dumas (season 2), in public, with two people walking past them while the sex act was being performed. Hamelin is not closeted and her colleagues at station 19 know she's a lesbian. The fact that everyone knows it and the series focuses on, or alludes to, her sexual orientation in many episodes is kinda refreshing. Also, Roy Suarez is gay and it's known by all (when he is introduced, we learn that he has been referred to as "sergeantina" by homophobes). In this award-winning and multi-nominated series, you see both straights and homosexuals burning horizontal calories. I don't like the Ben Chartier character, and I don't like Jared Keeso's acting, so I'm not going to watch all the episodes and find out what there is to know about all the characters and how they evolve in the overall story. But if someone does have knowledge about their important backstory, personality, and development it would be a plus for the article if their descriptions were included. Pyxis Solitary (yak).
