Wrong picture caption[edit]

Never ever does this picture show a start of proper Grand Prix cars. The cars in the photo have fenders, some of them even headlights, so I assume, it must have been a supporting race for sports or touring cars.--Uechtel (talk) 22:57, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the pictures in David Hodges' book "The French Grand Prix", looking at this picture it definitely looks like the same circuit. However, it is definitely not a picture of the 1923 French Grand Prix as all cars had riding mechanics (and none can be seen in the picture), so I think you might be right about it being a support race.
