copyright[edit]

Are 1956 photos such as the one at http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/environ/flood.shtml out of copyright yet? --Scott Davis Talk 08:41, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The {{PD-Australia}} template says Commonwealth or State government owned photographs first published more than 50 years ago (reason E) are in the public domain. Would it be safe to assume the BOM holds the copyright to those images? -- Longhair\talk 08:47, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Probably not. The caption says (Photo courtesy of The Adelaide Advertiser). --Scott Davis Talk 23:17, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

50th Anniversary of the 1956 Flood website[edit]

There's a website which might help with some information on the flood, 50th Anniversary of the 1956 Flood from the South Australian Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation. None of the links seems to work for me though as they all seem to link to a search form. :/ -- Longhair\talk 12:04, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See also http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/murray/contentscreen.htm?content/dwindlingRiver/floods1956_cover.htm which appears to work fine. -- Longhair\talk 05:31, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possible new external link[edit]

Hi, I moderate Culture Victoria. Our 1956 Flood story includes three videos with television footage of the flood provided by the Mildura Arts Centre. I've had a look at the guidelines for adding external links and thought that a link to CV would be relevant and appropriate. Please let me know what you think.Eleworth (talk) 04:47, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

When abouts in 1956[edit]

In what period in 1956 was the river in flood? Spring, Summer, Autumn? July? October? This article does not tell the reader. -- Mattinbgn (talk) 21:39, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
