Fair use rationale for Image:UEFA Euro 1964.png[edit]

Image:UEFA Euro 1964.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

West Germany[edit]

Did West Germany not compete at all? Tomeasy T C 19:10, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they not. 2A01:117F:4A1:6C00:40A8:6C77:A833:473C (talk) 21:10, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect[edit]

is article is wrong. It's including the eighth-finals in the qualifying round. See http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=1964/matches/round=167/index.html

At very least it needs to be clarified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.32.184 (talk) 17:13, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The round of 16 and the quarter-finals are not considered part of the tournament proper as they were not played all in the same country. – PeeJay 21:19, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So why that citation/source says about that, that only the preliminary round was qualifying tournament. The geographical considerations is not relevant because for example in 2022-23 UEFA Champions League played 32 teams, with only final (2 teams) played in the same country. Camp Nou[edit]

Was Camp Nou actually called "Camp Nou" in 1960? Under Franco, the public use of Catalan was perhaps not forbidden but heavily restricted. I wouldn't be surprised if the stadium's official name at that time was Campo Nuevo. Can anyone tell me? Steinbach (talk) 13:30, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
