Article title[edit]

@Parzival2101: The criteria for titling articles means they should be Recognizably, Naturally, Precisely, Concisely and Consistently named. There is also a specific naming convention for events that recommends that the title should include information about When, Where and What happened. The current title of this article, "Mason County (WV) jail bombing", doesn't really meet these criteria. Reading the cited source headlines, none of them include the abbreviation "(WV)" after mentioning "Mason" or "Mason County", even though there are currently six Mason Countys in the United States. Some readers will not be familiar with state two-letter code abbreviations, and the WV code is not unique, either. Also, using parentheses in a title usually indicates disambiguation, which should be done naturally, whenever possible. A title like "1976 Mason County jail bombing" would seem more suitable to me. What do you think. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:54, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
