Research aircraft registrations[edit]

As an avgeek, I do appreciate the effort to include pictures of the aircraft involved when reading articles such as this. However, one thing to note is that aircraft registrations are sometimes reused, as is the case here.

The aircraft involved was a Tu-154A registered LZ-BTN, and originally delivered (as a basic Tu-154) to EgyptAir as SU-AXH back in 1974: https://russianplanes.net/reginfo/8064

However, the registration was also used on a Tu-154M delivered 1990, and it was this aircraft that was previously shown in this article: https://russianplanes.net/reginfo/4047

There are pictures of the correct LZ-BTN out there, such as this one for example: https://aviation-safety.net/photo/6028/Tupolev-Tu-154A-LZ-BTN

However, due to the copyright logo, I am unsure if it's ok to use them for the article. And unfortunately, all the LZ-BTN pictures on WikiMedia are of the later M variant. OckeDocke (talk) 11:32, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
