Updated the controversial McCloskey catch to remove the slanted viewpoint. The statement "and most controversial from Nebraska's point of view" not only cannot be sourced, any attempt to source that catch specifically will find quite the opposite, only Penn State fans would actually believe that the ball was caught in bounds. Common Google searches will find that catch as one of the most recognized refereeing blunders in college football history. This isn't a statement saying that the game should be overturned, or that somehow Penn State didn't deserve the title, they most certainly did, and they most certainly beat Nebraska that day. However, to ignore the controversy, or worse, make it appear only controversial to those who lost the game, is a poor way to view the situation.

Go to the Flea Kicker page, for instance. Nebraska was absolutely lucky to have won that game, and it is in fact quite debatable as to whether or not the receiver kicked the ball trying to get it to himself, or to the other Nebraska player who actually caught the ball. This is a controversy that is documented, with comments from the original receiver in place much the same way as the comments from QB, WR, and coach are on this particular page. These type of controversial outcomes are part of what make college football so great, and they should be documented accurately and without bias.2600:8804:80:7550:3169:6EC1:6C62:AA9F (talk) 18:28, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
