Part of the Sri Lankan Civil War

I think this conflict should be considered part of the Sri Lankan Civil War, because it took place at the same time and it was essentially just another spurt of brutal Sinhalese–Tamil violence (the JPV was mainly targeting Tamils at the time). Charles Essie (talk) 21:39, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

The 1987–89 JVP Insurrection is generally considered two separate conflicts, based on different ideals. I am not an expert on the topic but you would need to find some reliable sources that says so.--Blackknight12 (talk) 04:47, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
