Talk:1988 NCAA Division I-A football season

La Tech status

La Tech didn't go to I-A until 1989. Numerous sources exist to support this:

• [1] - The team's official media guide, page 160, clearly states that the 1987 and 1988 seasons were played as a Division I-AA independent, followed by going I-A independent in 1989.
• [2] - States that the team played a difficult schedule in 1988 before moving to Division I-A the following year (in 1989).

Meanwhile, User:Peacekeeper 1234's citation of evidence that La Tech went I-A in 1988 states nothing of the sort, and only lists the scores from that season. I'm inclined to go with the facts posted on the official athletic department's page. Please stop reverting. DeFaultRyan 18:21, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
