Review to follow shortly.Cptnono (talk) 04:18, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nice read. A small small things jumped out immediately (use of distance conversions and an English translation of a term, subjects facing the prose in images, etc.)

  • "a 8" should be "an 8"

  • Some terms could be wikilinked or explained for those not familiar with the sport: peloton, race stage, classifications, marked, false flat
I linked three of those (stage, peloton, and false flat), classifications wasn't in the glossary but each classification is linked. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why didn't Franco Chioccioli race?
He did. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I blame poor eyesight on my lack of reading comprehension.Cptnono (talk) 20:36, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Spanish newspaper Diari de Girona named as Indurain, Chiappucci, Laurent Fignon, and Massimiliano Lelli the main contenders to win the race." - Misplaced "as"?
Fixed. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • The first paragraph of "Route and stages" didn't end with a reference. I fond myself wanting to click on one for more information.
It doesn't require one there since I linked the previous year's race in the sentence before, which is what I was comparing with in the final two sentences. Another reviewer said that that was allowed to be done. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Does the image with the caption "Frenchman Thierry Marie..." need to be clarified with "(pictured)" since it is not from the race? Very small gripe that isn't a big deal overall.
I got an article to FA status and a reviewer had me do that for any images that weren't from the race to give context to the image so that's why I have that there. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "which was won by Thierry Marie by three seconds over Miguel Indurain who came in second place." - It is clear that he came in second.
Fixed. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is there information on the 5th stage?
There is but I did not see a need to write about it since there were no general classification shifts or injuries or major events. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "The event's tenth stage featured a summit finish Monte Terminillo." Does this need a coma or the word "at". Alternatively drop the "a"?
Added a "to" Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "and twice climbed the Monte Bondone" - Is "the" needed? (I wouldn't say "the Mount Rainier" but it could be different)
Fixed. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • The first half or so of the "Race Overview" section might focus on eventual winner Indurain too much; even in stages he did not win. I was surprised at how little Cipollini was mentioned in those paragraphs/ This is just a thought and no changes are needed.
Haha yeah that's one downside of using spanish sources, they loved the dude. I removed his name in some spots where it wasn't very necessary. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Can any of the tables be sortable (not needed for Ga promotion)?
It's pretty standard for all the classification tables to be unsortable for all these yearly bike race articles. Disc Wheel (Talk + Tontributions) 20:29, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Aftermath" doesn't seem like the appropriate term for the section. Maybe Post-race or something?

Everything ranging from sourcing to images checks out. I don't know much about cycling and enjoyed the article.Cptnono (talk) 05:04, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for addressing almost everything or responding. I see that you mentioned coming back do do a little more (which I hope you do) but it is at GA already. Nice work!Cptnono (talk) 20:36, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
