Content relocated from List of Mt. Everest expeditions page[edit]

The above page includes a list of expeditions (limited to the basics of date, name (if any), party leader, and route attempted (or successfully taken). As such, the following content has been relocated from there to here. If any has not already been included at this article, it should be integrated here, along with any citations that may add to that article or be superior in reliability (scope, etc.) to others that may be supplanted with them:

    • In May 1996 expedition by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police to reach the summit of Mount Everest happened in the background of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, and resulted in three members of the expedition dying. The expedition credited as being the first Indian ascent of Everest from the North Side.[1]
    • Tsewang Samanla, Dorje Morup, and Tsewang Paljor all died on the way back. Until 2014, Paljor's body, now known as "Green Boots", served as a landmark for people to use to gauge their distance to the summit.
