Merge proposal[edit]

I have nominated these articles for merger because I believe that though they are important and all the detail present so far should be kept, they are not "notable" in their own right and difficult to navigate in any case. Concentrating them all on one page would, I feel, make it clearer to users and make the data included in each box more notable. I would point out that this series of articles represent the only articles on individual Belgian coins anywhere on Wiki.---Brigade Piron (talk) 12:20, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't believe that it should be merged that way. I think it should be merged by denomination.--Ant2242 (talk) 14:28, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: That would make sense if there were other articles on Belgian coins. As it is, there are none. Besides, I believe that the coins are interesting (and thus have articles written about them) because of their connection to World War II...Brigade Piron (talk) 19:00, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm thinking ahead to denominations. During WWII many countries had unique issues, what we need to do is make the articles on them then insert the WWII coins into it.--Ant2242 (talk) 20:13, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid I don't understand. Belgian francs (before, during or after) were unique to Belgium and there are no other articles on franc or centime coins. What exactly do you propose to merge? Brigade Piron (talk) 12:15, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I propose that instead of making a separate Belgian franc WWII coins page we make pages of the denominations themselves and add them to it, and/or create a "Coinage of Belgium" page. Ex. Coinage of the United States--Ant2242 (talk) 17:36, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
