Men's 4 x 100 relay[edit]

Tim Montgomery's silver in the 100 m was rescinded owing to his drug revelations, and this is reflected in the IAAF's record of the 2001 WC,[1] but the men's 4 x 100 m gold is still listed there as being won by the Americans (despite Montgomery's presence) and my recent Track and Field mailing with previews for the 2007 WC lists the American team as the winners of the 4x100 in 2001 (while excising, for example, Kelli White's medal and the women's 4x100 relay gold from the same championships).

Has it been confirmed that the men's 4x100 gold won by the Americans has in fact been stripped? Is there a source for this? Canada Jack 16:35, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
