I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Add Smyth to the Captain list?[edit]

I was going through some old photos on Getty and found at least 5 games where he played for the Oilers wearing a captain C in January 2004.

January 5 vs the Devils [1]

January 8 vs the Islanders [2]

January 10 vs the Flyers [3]

January 11 vs the Capitals [4]

January 17 vs the Predators [5]

Should we add Smyth to the list of captains with a reference that it was only for these games? MatthewNewHouse (talk) 21:19, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The simple answer is no. As you can see here [6] he's not listed as a captain during this time period. Plus per this, [7] the Oilers' captain was injured for a few games. Deadman137 (talk) 13:15, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In the Final Season Smyth Played, where he was captain in his final game, we have him listed as one game Captain despite him not being on that list. MatthewNewHouse (talk) 05:34, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
