Miscellaneous[edit]

Subject Greg Parke is not a notable politician, military officer or diplomat and so fails WP:POLITICIAN; WP:MILNG; WP:MILPEOPLE; WP:DIPLOMAT; WP:NRVE. Five bedroom bedroom B&B built by descendant of notable person seems more WP:SOAP. Vttor (talk) 01:40, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd propose that the title be changed to United States House of Representatives election in Vermont, 2004. It seems more precise and conforms with similar article title conventions elsewhere on WP. Also, this article still seems to be focused primarily on a non-notable figure (Greg Parke), rather than on the election of 2004. Removed WikiProject Conservatism. Is this project appropriately labeled a Bio? Vttor (talk) 18:53, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced WikiProject Biography with WikiProject US/VT. Vttor (talk) 19:39, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This needs more on the election itself, I've considerably shortened the material about Parke as this is not a biography. Dougweller (talk) 08:11, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Most of that history you've removed was lifted verbatim from the campaign flyer PDF, and so WP:SPS; it's all still available to readers if they go to the flyer via the link. I'll add a significant controversey that arose late in the campaign for which there exist several press reports. Vttor (talk) 15:45, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It might have been copyvio also unless it was substantially changed. Dougweller (talk) 16:42, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Right but I'd suspected that based on the edit history that the campaign had constructed the first, completely unsourced bio. Do you have any idea about how to change the title on this to what I've suggested above? That format seems to better follow the style used on other House/State election pages. "congressional" would apply to both chambers. Vttor (talk) 19:45, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
