Top Ten Results?[edit]

Are top ten race results desirable, or is it too much for this page? I will reformat as if it is desirable, but leave open for discussion. -slowpokeiv 29 June 2005 19:27 (UTC)

  • Your supposed to leave it up for discussion/comments on this page for many days before making the changes, not post for discussion then make drastic changes, sometimes it can go weeks or even more than a month before changes could be made. I reverted back before the Top 10 changes were made. My comments are that I think most people want a little background on the race, and not just a top 10, because you can go to any site and get the top 10. Mainly since the first 10 different editors all included worthy paragraphs, and you wipe all their work out. The wiki is more of an encyclopedia, ususally with detailed paragraphs about their subject title. The Top 10 doesn't really tell the whole story. Srcrowl July 4, 2005 05:25 (UTC)
Hmm, I though wikipedia guideline was to Be Bold. I agree that most people want a little background, and if you would of taken a little time to take a look at the history, I neither wiped out the work of the first editors, nor added the top ten lists, merely reformatted the top ten lists. Furthermore, you deleted races by reverting, something I find unacceptable.
I do agree that top ten only does not give enough of a story, but at the same time, as a top ten performance is notable, (according to NASCAR standards) I feel they warrant inclusion with the race reports, (not in substitution of said reports) a feeling that is shared by Tacoman91. (the user that did in fact insert the lists) In any case, they are a start, better than nothing. (If deemed best, I will add {{Sectstub}} to clarify this.) If, after proper discussion, it is determined that the lists are not desirable, please delete just the lists.
  • I apolgoize for my earlier revert actions. At the time I did not realize that each of the section had not been entirely changed. I just saw that Daytona had been edited, and scrolled to the bottom and found where there was only a top 10 results summary of the latest race at the time. I do feel the improvements made to the page are exceptional, and want to help in making Wikipedia:NASCAR even better. Srcrowl 05:18, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

Uh Guys...[edit]

There's a mess on the front page. I don't know how to fix it. 74.103.74.93 (talk) 23:15, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Points Standings issue[edit]

I don't know the link for the actual 2005 point standings, but I'm sure there is something wrong starting from Kyle Petty downwards - any idea of the actual points from Petty and beyond. 173.179.155.183 (talk) 01:08, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
